In October 2024, we took 12 students from the school on a 10-day trip to Hong Kong and Guangdong, China.
We started off in Hong Kong with a short but packed day and a half, with all the usual sightseeing. We caught the Kung Fu show and Lion Dance at Kung Fu Corner!
After a short bus trip, we entered China and made it to beautiful Taishan, Guangdong. This is the view of our hotel from across the lake.
Together with students from the USA, we had almost daily seminars on the Five Animals led by our Grandmaster Yee Chee Wai (Frank Yee).
We went to the Wong Fei Hung museum in Foshan and performed there!
Lion shopping in Guangzhou! We also went to the Jade Market there.
The trip culminated in an incredible event where we took part in the Grand Opening of the Tang Fong Memorial Hall in Taishan. A statue of Grandmaster Tang Fong was unveiled, as well as ribbon cutting and the Traditional Shaolin Five Offerings ceremony.
